CREATE, CONNECT, COLLABORATE
Immerse yourself in a community pioneering at the forefront of media and technology.

Michelle is part of the Made in NY management team in her role as Community Engagement Manager, who was a highly passionate and accommodating person. As she walked us through the large office area consisting of shared desktops, classrooms, message boards, big projection visualizations, large video wall, video-conferencing facilities, a relaxed library environment and a social meeting place with food and drinks – she gave us a brief insight on their operation.

After the initial walk, we sat down for a more in-depth conversation where we learned more about their organisation. Having started only two years earlier, she still considered the Made in NY as a start-up, and they had learned a lot on what made the community of start-up companies thrive. It was also clear that the combination of public funding combined with commercial sponsorship and a healthy dose of idealism seemed to pay off.

At the end we met up with some of the participants in the Incubator programme and they praised both the Made in NY Media Center as incubator as well as its staff for its professionalism and enthusiasm.

The time spent with Michelle was highly interesting and hopefully now we can turn this introductory meeting into a long-term relationship with mutual value-add for both parties.
